Katz Modern is an eclectic showroom of high-quality vintage furniture, art, and design pieces.  We are located at 1605 Ashby Avenue in Berkeley, CA and our collection can be found online at www.katzmodern.com. Katz Modern also participates in several antique and vintage shows throughout the year. We are proud to say that we have been running an established vintage business for nearly 15 years. Katz Modern continues to grow and expand with the goal of providing outstanding service to our clients. In addition to buying and selling, Katz Modern now offers rentals of our vintage treasures.

We acquire most of our items from estate sales, trade shows, flea markets and long-term business partners across the country and around the world. If you feel you have something that fits to our style, please contact us.



We currently offer only local pick up for the online purchases. If you wish the item to be shipped to you please ask us for quote. Due to the local pickup, you will also be charged tax. If you wish to purchase an item and you are out of CA state, please contact us directly and we can make different payment arrangement. For the shipping we will be using USPS, UPS, Greyhound and other delivery companies.  We do ship worldwide, just ask us for a quote. Purchases can be picked up at our store on 1605 Ashby Ave, Berkeley, CA. Delivery options are also available to our customers who make the purchase in store.

  • Orders placed and paid by 11:59 P.M. Pacific Standard Time will be processed to get ready for shipment within 14 days.
  • Order, what are chosen to be by check, will be processed to get ready for shipment upon check clearing within 14 days.
  • After you place your order, we will send you an order confirmation via email, followed by an email that contains tracking information, if available.
  • Please note that the shipment may take time due to the size of the item and the delivery address.
  • If you order multiple items, you may receive separate shipments.

At this time, we do not ship to Military FPO/APO Box addresses.


Sales tax is applied to all orders that ship to California address and all the purchases made in our store on 1605 Ashby Ave, Berkeley, 94607 CA. 


We want you to be happy with your purchase, however please keep in mind that our items are pre-owned. To protect yourself from disappointment or something unexpected, we strongly encourage you to closely inspect item photos, descriptions, and details before purchasing anything and then again upon delivery or pickup. If you’re unsure about an item’s condition, dimensions, quantity, or description, contact us with your questions before making a purchase. Please note colors of the item may slightly vary in reality, due to lighting, reflections, camera settings and your device screen settings.

We offer a 15 day return. Email [email protected] to initiate a return of an item. Each returned item needs to be received in original condition. We reserve the right to deduct for any damage that may have occurred not related to transportation.

For returns with an original receipt/order confirmation, we will issue you a credit in the original form of payment. If you do not have a receipt, we can either offer you a store credit for the current selling price, or we can make an exchange for merchandise equal to the current selling price. Unfortunately we cannot refund duties, taxes, or shipping charges.

  • Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable, and that we do not provide free return shipping, unless we finds that the item was damaged beyond repair in transportation or determines that the item was grossly misrepresented.
  • Refunds will be processed within approximately 14 business days after we receive your return.

Any merchandise purchased online can also be returned to our store location 1605 Ashby Ave, Berkeley, CA.

As long as your item has not yet been scheduled for delivery, or your order has not started the shipping process you can cancel your order.

As soon as you want to cancel a purchase, contact us with your order # and we will do our best to accommodate you.

You can also make a payment in cash or with credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover) upon pick up.

Purchaser will be responsible for any bounced check and non-sufficient fund fees.
